I have a Thunderbird 3.8 supercharger with all the hardware but no computer. Will it work on a 1999 3.0 and would it be worth it? Also can it be smoged?

The Thunderbirds had m90's correct? Tom Morana is supposed to be working on an intake manifold that would allow you to bolt the m90 charger to your engine. (The one pictured is for the larger m112.) http://www.moranav6racing.com/category.html?CategoryID=36
You would need to supply a larger MAF, Injectors, an intake tube, and then you would definitley need to have it tuned with an SCT x-cal 3 by a knowledgable tuner.
Forced induction is the only way to get large power increases from your 3.0, without spending several thousands of dollars, so I'd say its defintiley worth it. Just make sure your engine has good compression, and is strong enough to handle some boost. As long as you keep it under 10-12psi, you shouldn't have to many problems.
I highly doubt that it would be emissions legal after all of these mods. Before you spend any $$, I'd talk to a tuner (like Fred @ rogue performance), because in some cases they can work some magic, but its unlikely. The only emissions legal supercharger kit for the 3.0 that I'm aware of was made by whipple, and has been discontinued for several years now.
