3.3 stroker

has anybody used the tom morana 3.3l stroker motor?is the motor worth the $5800.00 ?

For $5800, I'm pretty sure you could easily afford to drop a HEALTHY 347 stroker into your truck. And the 347 will make a buttload more power than that 3.3L stroker would...

Thats kinda like lopping your nose off to spite your face.....you can get a younger 4.0 ranger for that much.

dude its a 99 and i live in California,**** going threw all that i need a truck to drive on the street.if i didnt want a street legal truck i would put my 400hp 429 from my mustang in it.

i wouldnt say the 3.3 is worth it unless you were planning on running high levels of boost with it. theres no reason why, with that forged bottom end, a guy couldnt get WELL over 400HP out of that engine.

sure, there are cheaper ways of going fast...but everybody and their brother has a v8 ranger these days.

so what are some ways to get my 3.0 around 300hp?

keep it under 300HP on the stock bottom end.

supercharged guys are getting 250-280ish without too many problems.

m90's are pretty popular, but most guys dont see past 8PSI with them (say, 230ish HP). most whipples are closer to 10-12...though ive heard of one whippled truck popping head gaskets at 18PSI.
