3.0 swap help

hey guys im new to this forum, i have a 94 4wd ranger with the 3.0 i was wondering if i can do a direct swap with a 97 3.0 motor if everything is the same, thanks ill get pics up asap

thanks for the welcome, i did see in a section that before 95 the distributer runs clockwise, and anything after 95 it says distributerless does this matter?

Nope just pull tha cam posistion sensor out of the newer motor and drop your distributor in. Just make sure you swap all you sensors ect... and you will be good.

so the ecu and wireharness are both the same ? and im just getting a motor dont know whats included yet what sensors are different on the 97 compaired to a 94 3.0
