3.0 supercharged or turbo?

i have 94 ford ranger 3.0 2wd lifted 4 inches with 235's . ok ever since i bought the truck it has never had enough power to burn tires or accelerate. NEED more than this so if ay body has any info or helpful websites please reply. thanks
