3.0 idle issue

I have owned

He found the voltage thru the TPS was reading partial throttle even when the throttle plate was closed completely.

Why did he not think it was the TPS? Was the throttle plate closing completely? Why did you replace the intake plenum?

Does the truck have A/C?

I am having the same problem possibly with my 98 Ranger 3.0. Would you please share how you fixed yours.

I replaced my idle control valve and it did not help. I disconected the electric line to the EGR control that has vacuum lines running to the EGR valve and that has seemed to help a lot.
