i put on a home made intake and all the sensors are in right but its idoling down to like 500 then it will die. timing?

Homemade intake?

Plenum or plastic intake tube?

Lets see some pics of this..

Do you mean intake manifold or intake tube/cone filter?

intake from kragen. i didnt want to spend the money on a k&N. all i changed out was the intake tube from the rubber thing to a aluminum tube with a cone filter. i can hear the air getting sucked into the intake but its just running funny and dieing.

MAF sensor plugged in? Any leaks in the system? How about missing/cracked vacuum lines?

im really not sure about that. the vacume line worked before. and the sensors worked before. the MAF is plugged in. could the sensor not be sencing enough air?

Is your check engine light lit up? If so, you might want to get the codes from the computer. This will help us out greatly.

is the cone filter real close to the mass air? i seen alot of people having problems because of the change in air flow over the mass air element. try to make the cone filter farther away so it has time to smooth out

did you go to a bigger size tube? if so your problem might be that to much air is going by your mas try going back to stock and see if it fixes the problem.
