3.0 exaust?

So ive only seen 3 options so far, magnaflow, gibson and dynomax. I dont want my truck to sound like something out of the fast and furious. So far i like the dynomax sound the most. Ive got a 04 ranger edge. Plus it looks like i can get the dynomax exaust off jegs for 125 after rebate. Is that the only 3 options there is?

There's also the JBA system, and of course you can always go to a muffler shop and have them bend you up a custom system. I like the Dynomax, and the price is too good to resist, especially with the rebate.

So far its lookin like dynomax all the way. Did you notice any power gains are mpg increase with the dyno max?

My Gibson sounds nice for a 6-banger. I picked up 3 mpg on the highway with it. Truck is rated at 19 mpg but if I keep the cruise on 65 mph I'll get 22. City mpg is no different.

You probably wont notice any power gains from the new exhaust. The 3.0s never pick up much from new intakes or exhaust. Everyone that has the dynomax set up likes it. You will prolly pick up a couple mpgs though. Good Luck.

Go to a muffler shop and have them weld you up a custom catback exhaust, get 2.5 inch piping, and a Flowmaster Original 40 series American Thunder muffler, and if u want too, throw on a 3 inch chrome tip for looks. All of this should cost u around $200, The dynomax exhaust system sounds good too though, I have to admit. So does the JBA and the Gibson exhausts, Theres also a Heartthrob Dual exhaust kit, it sounds pretty good too, just shop around and see what u can find. definately check out www.stuffforyourranger.com, www.autoanything.com, or www.4wheelparts.com, they all have sum pretty good stuff on there. I have a Flowmaster 50 Series on my 95. It was a 2" in and out that i had in the stock location until a couple days ago. I found a hole in the intermediate pipe so I reworked the system. It now comes off the cat, through the muffler, then up to a 2.5" 45 degree bend and then a 2.5" stainless steel tip that goes out in front of the rear tire. I'll try to get a couple pics for you when its not raining. I'll try to get a sound clip too. Still new to the whole forum thing!
