Hello everyone, i am about to undergo a full engine swap on my 03' ranger and was wondering if there's anything i need to know, my first question is, my truck is a flex fuel and am i able to put a non flex fuel engine in and what do i need to re wire? and if not where should i look for a flex fuel engine for sale? appreciate any help!

Yes,

Just use the intake manifold and injectors from your current engine.

Yes, just swap over your current upper and lower intakes with injectors to the new 3.0l engine, this will match up wiring for plug and play

Flex fuel and gas only are functions of the engine computer software and injector sizes, actual engine(block/heads) didn't matter

Heads up
I assume it will be a later model 3.0l "new" engine, if older than 1999 then you also need to change the Cam synchronizer, so its a 2 wire model
Also not from any year Taurus or Sable 3.0l, they need different head gaskets
