CAN ANYBODY TELL ME IF A 1999 3,0 RANGER HAS A COOLANT DRAIN PLUG IN THE BLOCK & IF SO,,WHERE TO FIND IT !

this is the passenger side. driver side is closer to the front, behind the motor mount.
the plug directly below the freeze plug.
they can be quite difficult to remove due to rust.

where 'bouts in Toledo are you?

SO THERE IS 1 ON EACH SIDE ? I FLUSHED THE SYSTEM BECAUSE IT NEEDED IT,I USED PRESTONE ENGINE FLUSH & I THINK I HAVE A CLOG,ALL WAS FINE PRIOR TO FLUSHING,NOW I HAVE PRESSURE THAT BLOWS THE CAP OFF THE OVERFLOW RESERVOIR & BLEW A HEAD GASKET,A FRIEND SAID HIS COUSIN USES CLR TO FLUSH ALL HIS VEHICLES & IT SUPPOSEDLY WORKS VERY WELL,,OFF W.CENTRAL NEAR COLLINGWOOD IS MY LOCATION & YOURS ? ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED !

yes, one drain on each side.
CLR, the drain stuff? what did they run afterward to neutralize it? or just a couple water flushes.
I wouldn't suspect a clog in the block, heater or radiator maybe.
run a hose thru the heater core & radiator separate, do they flow good?

head gaskets are easy on these engines, it's the rusty exhaust bolts that cause big issues.

I'm out near Hooters & Red Robin, on Monroe St, nw of you.

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE,,I'LL BE FLUSHING HEATER CORE & RADIATOR AS YOU SAID,,I HAVE A NEW RADIATOR FROM MY OLD RANGER WHICH I BOUGHT NEW BEFORE THE FRAME BROKE & KEPT THE ENTIRE DRIVE TRAIN,ENGINE INCLUDED,I ORDERED HEAD GASKETS FROM ROCK AUTO & SHOULD ARRIVE IN A FEW DAYS,THEN WILL REPLACE THEM,BUT WILL FLUSH AS YOU SAID FIRST,THANKS SO MUCH PJ I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW ALL TURNS OUT ! ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN ACCELERATING SLOW TO NORMAL TRANS SOMETIMES SLIPS A BIT GOING INTO 2ND,I LET OFF THE GAS,WAIT FOR IT TO CATCH 2ND GEAR & SHE GOES FINE,IF I GOOSE IT NO PROBLEM SHIFTING,ANOTHER FRIEND A TRANS REBUILDER SAID IT'S A SERVO LOCATED TOO CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST,THIS TRANNY IS PART OF THE DRIVETRAIN I KEPT FROM MY OLD 99 RANGER W/BROKEN FRAME,BEEN DRIVING IT W/SHIFTING ISSUE ABOUT 8 YEARS IN 2 DIFFERENT RANGERS,I WAS QUOTED $ 1400.00 FOR REBUILDING BUT OTHER THAN THE SERVO I WAS TOLD IS BAD SHE WORKS WELL,NO TRANS SHOP WILL JUST REPLACE THE SERVO,ANY SUGGESTIONS ON TRANS ?

Is that drain plug hex, torx, er whut?

mine are allen hex. I'm not sure what was originally in there. may have been a square head???
tapered pipe thread for sure.

I'm not much of an auto transmission guy, I'll let others take that one.
