Does Anybody have any idea why its hard for me to put my truck into gear when at a dead stop. it takes it a few trys for it to go in gear, then when shifting from 1st,to 2nd its kind of hard to shift then also.any ideas?

my first though would be a leaking slave cylinder on your clutch. good news they are cheap, bad news you have to drop the trans.

I hope this isn't a thread hi-jack...just additional info from a symapthetic sufferer.

I've got the exact same issue...and it's intermitent. Some times it's not an issue, other times it is stuburn as heck going into 1st.

By leaking, I would assume there is some fluid loss (which I had considered and therefore monitored). Mine has never lost a drop aside from minimal additions every ~12 months or so that I attribute to brake wear. Slave cylinder has been replaced with clutch.

I know enough about manual transmissions to be dangerous. That said...synchronizers?
