3.0 axel swap

ok so im new to the forums but long time reader, i have a 94 ranger stx with a 3.0L. i unfourtantly chose to do underdrive pulley and 1.7 rockers, magnaflow highflow cats and magnaflow exhaust, new msd ignition system,(dident think it was a waist of money until i did my reaserch haha) insted of gear swap first after upgrading to 31" tires, so now im finially getting the modivation to work on the axels. a buddy of myne told me to do a ford 9" in the reer and a dana 44 in the front, with 4.56 gears. unfourtantly im limited in funds and never even looked in to pricing for this kinda mod. hopefuly some of you can offer good advice with price ranges and possible better suggestions then his reccomended setup. i am also planing to drop a 4.0L v6 or a 302 in her when engine gives (whenever that is) so im wanting something that will be compatabile in a positive respect to that future engine swap as to not mess with the axels in the future. thankks!!

You can find a d44/9" combo under every Ford 4wd half-ton and Bronco after '77 I believe... Pretty common... Someone may have specifics on the date, I'm not 100% sure...
