More info please. Are we talking automatic, or manual? Are we talking the m50d? If manual no.. The 3.0 and 4.0 have different bellhouse patterns. They will not interchange.

yes auto is there a way to change bellhousings

I took the bellhousing/frontpump(one piece) off a 99 3.0 trans and installed a 98 2.5 bellhousing/pump on it and it worked for me. Both were 4r44e transmissions. Not saying it will work, just throwing it out there.
