3.0-4.0 dash wiring?

Hello I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the dash wiring is the same on my two trucks I have a 1999 3.0 auto that is rolled and a good cab from a 2001 4.0 sohc would I need to swap the dashes from one to the other or just the pats thanks for any help I can get!

Ford made different dash harnesses. They seem to vary based more on vehicle trim level than engine type, so a base model truck will have a more basic harness than a truck with cruise control, or power windows/locks.

Just to be safe, I'd probably just swap the harness from your rolled truck into the new cab. It's doable in a couple of hours.

Ok I was just trying to get away a little easier both truck is are xlt all the bells and whistles but I'll swap the adjust to be sure everything should work correctly thanks!
