So I about have my 01-97 3.0 swap done, I have changed the entire wireing harness, have everthing buttoned up but 2 grounds I think they go on the block there on the same wires that go's to the starter. Do I just find a emply hole on the block and put them there. For the life of me I can not remember were these go.
Btw if anyone is going from a older 3.0 to newer style motor. JUST SWAP THE INTAKE!!!

Depends on where they are on the harness, one on the head and one on the firewall, would be useful, since starter motor/block has the larger ground wire.

You need largest ground wire for starter motor/alternator(engine)
Then smaller grounds to
Rad Support(headlights), usually small cable from battery post to rad support
Inter fender for relays, usually from rad support ground to inter fender
Frame for taillights, engine block to frame rail
Firewall for instruments and computer(often a ground strap from head to firewall was used)

there both on the wire that runs to the starter. there pretty good sized lugs.

At least one of them should go over a studded bolt that holds the starter on.
