2wd vs 4wd

i dont understand the argument

yes you can accomplish alot with a good driver and good 2wd but you can acomplish more with a 4wd

its not to say 2wds arent fun but...

Its really comes down to personal preference. I myself like both but the most fun I have is in the 2wd. The one thing I liked about my old 4x4 was it was cheap to build and it was reliable and if you rolled it it didn't hurt lol. My 2wd is even more reliable but its a lot more expensive then your average 4wd and when you roll it it hurts haha! Both are fun though just in different ways.

No argument really. Though some are making it more personal.LOL
Its really just a thread asking what should someone get. 2wd vs. 4wd. Not which one is ultimately better but rather better for each indvidual. They are both good platforms and BOTH have their pros and cons.

no arguement.

a shovel wont take a 2wd down parts my morning route.

you wait for a few 4x4's to pass or if your in a lower 2wd a plow. its simple

i dont like to wait. personal preference just like dave says.

that and a 2wd is sometimes a fawk of alot more expensive. but worth it.

still have to wait for a 4x4 to pass though on my route:thefinger:

Thankfully I never drive impassable roads during winter. You must live out in the country.

i drive a 2wd ford ranger. 7" of lift and 35" toyo open country mud terrains. and lets not forget that its locked too. it can take me where ever i want to go because its a beast on its own. if you got a 4x4 im not intimidated. im curious to see what i can get through that someones 4x4 cant. hopefully it will become a 4wd some day though.

our race truck is a 2x and my prerunner is a 4x they are very simlar speeds to eachother when running, the 2x slightly faster cause its lighter and can control the suspension better in the whoops.

I run my truck in 2x 99.9% of the time, but when i need to use the 4x i am SOOOO glad to have it. We run a winch, pull pal and snatch block on our race truck ad it helps get you unstuck faster then a shovel or waiting for a local to come around and unstick u, but not as fast as just pullin the short lever into 4x and just driving out of it. :D

my truck was 2wd, to end all of this nonsense i will say that converting it to 4wd was the best thing i have ever done to it!

no arguement.

I actually just got back from wheeling with my son in our 2wd b2300. I just got some 29x8.5 TSL's mounted a few days ago, and must say that they are the best off-road tires I have ever had the pleasure of using. We walked through the biggest mud hole on the trail without so much as spinning a tire. A 4x4 Explorer that was in front of me sank right in the middle of it and flung mud all over the place trying to get out. It was pretty comical, really. Of course, he was using street tires. I'm sure he would have breezed through it if he had half-decent tires.

I have nothing against four-wheel drives and actually plan on getting one as soon as we get rid of our damned Chevrolet. It'll be an RBV, of course! However, I also enjoy wheeling my little 2wd whenever I get the chance; it gets me where I need to go and is a blast to drive.

We're still having trouble with math here?

2 is less than 4?

I'm saddened.
