2WD To 4WD

I have a ranger 2wd cab that will be on a 4wd frame my question is when I am in 4wheel drive or in low I want the lights in the dash to come on as well has anyone done this swap that can help me with this

you may need the 4x4 gages and wireing to make lights work

i have a 2000 2wd exploder and if you look real close at the dash behind the steering wheel and the lighting is just right you can you can see where the 4wd light would be(if it had 4wd) so of course it never lights up.

so it may be just a question of finding the correct wiring harness from a 4wd....just tear into the dash or get a haynes manual and see what is in there. i've never opened mine up to find out.

the pig tail for the transfer case should be there by the trans just have to find it.
