bear with me, I've read that you can get more lift out of a SAS in the long run then that of a TTB lift, so even though its a 2WD coud you tecnically do one? I dont plan on it, I'm just thinking out loud

sure. before 65, ford trucks were all that way.

Dare I say it, it's also a more cost- and time-effective way to convert a 2wd or rwd Ranger to 4x4. (arguable but true)

If you're gonna keep it 2wd, you can always run a Jeep XJ(cherokee) 2wd front dummy axle. Or one from a Postal jeep. Google Jeepspeed and check out the 2wd XJ's. It's an axle similar to what you'd find under a semi truck or F650...or even and old pre-twin ibeam ford truck.

And the only reason you can get more lift out of it, is that everything is custom. Sky's the limit when you get into fab work.

why go through all of the work doing an sas, but stay 2wd???

or is he saying doing a SAS to a truck that starts 2wd and finshes 4x4? he never REALLY said we could be misunderstanding the question.
