2wd in snow.

So you passed a few vehicles. good job.

no need to get all rude and everything, chill out.
hes never driven in snow, doesnt know any better, no need to get all rude.

Thin skinned???

Millions of people drive in the snow. My wife does. If all of your driving is on flat well groomed roads my wife's Fusion does just fine. Since I dont live in town, I'm forced to drive on roads that can be terrible. 4wd and a locker in the back make a world difference when your two options are get over that hill or loose traction and slide down. Besides, I get better gas mileage because I'm not loading 600lbs of weight in my bed.

Is snow a big deal? Yes and no. Common sense plays a big role here. Find an empty parking lot and play around. Find your tire's limits. Know what happens if you DO slip sideways and test your breaking distance (you'll be surprised how long it takes). Give the car in front of you enough space and if someone is tailgating you don't get pressured.

i drive tons of backroads in the winter half of em never get plowed. 2wd is fine with good tires. and ive never weighed down the back.

like stated above, find an empty space to pretty much have fun in, and you will learn to control different things.

how much snow on average does everyone get a year?

I'm not trying to be rude. It's all about confidence. My sister is not a confident driver. She can't handle her FWD car in the snow. My wife has the same confidence issue and has trouble with her AWD Escape. I am confident and have never had problems with any vehicle I tried to drive in any conditions.

you kinda were rude in saying dont be a little girl about it. but maybe thats not how you meant it.

Ive been fine in everything as well. some peoples skills just arent there though.

I'm not calling him a little girl. I'm saying he has to take control and be a confident with it. Not like the literal little girls who are afraid of me just because I have a a goatee.

You were probably one of those people who agreed to have the song Money For Nothing pulled from Canadian radio stations too. (Now see THAT was rude)

4 SNOW TIRES! If you buy two, they damn well better be on the front of your truck! You want to be able to stop before you can go. I think everyone should learn how to drive in snow with a rear wheel drive vehicle. Once you get good at that, then you can graduate to a 4x4 or awd and have some real fun. Tires are the most important aspect of a vehicles safety. It drives me nuts to see people driving around on bald tires in winter.

^^ exactly.

you dont need a big ol 4x4 to get around in the winter. you just need knowledge and common sense... and good tires.

no, i wasnt one of those people.....
where the **** did that come from lol

It was an example of "rude".

No, you don't need a "big ol 4x4 to get around"...

But thats like saying you don't need a "big ol cock to get laid"...

Not having either will suit you fine most days, but you'll wish you had 'em when the going gets "deep".

:icon_rofl:

Oh, that got my attention...that was deep...you have a way of penetrating the issue with words...

Does that mean I have to drive with a condom on now when it snows? This can get complicated...

well, for people whove never driven in snow before, i can see it taking some getting used to, personally i never use 4x4 till after im stuck lol. my next truck wont even have 4x4.

:shok::annoyed: What a waste... that ain't even really a truck.
