Well guess what it's Bambi mating season here again in wi, and well I'm getting pretty close to hit one of those ******** every morning since I go running at 3am. So I'm interested in getting some kind of guard for my truck just in case Bambi hates rangers. Problem is my truck is a 2wd xlt, kind sits low. so I'm I want something that will protect the radiator and all that important stuff, but no clash to much.Thinking the go rhino step bar, i don't really care about the headlights I have 3 sets from wrecked rangers at a buddy's shop.I bought a westin safari bar(just a note great for adding lights absolutely worthless for everything else, the bracketry is complete crap!!!). so any ideas or comments would be nice, cheap is always better. I plan on going about 1 inch bigger in tires, but current ones have lots of life so got to wait for them to wear out.Pictures of a guard on 2wd stock suspension ranger would be great too, I a have 2004, not sure what gen that would be.

those are nice! any for 3rd gens? I have had zero luck locating a real one, not just for looks.

Just go to Ebay and look up 2004 Ford Ranger brush guards and get an idea what they cost new. You can try Amazon as well, and if you don't want to spend a lot try Craigslist for a used one near you. You can also get a bull bar since you said your truck sits low.

well, when is see them going at on the side of the street and the news , I tend think their mating, or maybe that's the charlie sheen deer, either there's jots a lot of them in wi, and I don't really want to hit one. and yeah the bull bar would be good, but because the brackets and sit below your bumber, like the crappy light bar it makes it hang just under the grill

all those look nice, I guess I'm just concerned if a full guard would look like shit on a 2wd ranger

hell maybe I should build my own. doing it Micheal Weston style
