I live in Minnesota and I have a sweet 92 2wd Ranger just itching for some go-fast fun in the dirt. So after a bunch of research on the forums I want to build some bent/extended beams. Nothing extreme like you guys down in the desert just extended 3-4in, 4in lift coils and longer shocks.

My problem is I can't find pre-89 2wd Ranger beams to fab. Up here in Minnesota just finding a wrecked 2wd Ranger is tough enough. But I do know you can weld all day on some 4x4 TTBs, which we have plenty of. My idea is to get a TTB chop it, extend it, and bend it up for the lift. I have searched lots of forums for any info I can get to help but I can't find anything specific. Lots of people saying "just chop the ends off a TTB"

My question is does anyone have any pictures of a similar process (before, during, after) any info at all would be great.
Would I need to switch to 4x4 pivot mounts for the beams?
Could I just chop out the diff section on the drivers side beam, box and plate it in, then extend them to 2wd length?
Is there any differences between 2wd and 4x4 beams I should know about before heading to the junk yard?
Are there any particular years of 4x4 TTB Rangers that have stronger beams or bigger brakes?

use e150 beams

Using the e150 beams would be easier just build new brackets put some bend into the beams and plate them done.

What is if any, the difference between e series beams and f series? What all is needs to run them in the ranger?
