i need a new chain and sprocket set and i dont understan what the pitch is what the chain links are and they only have aftermarket parts they dont have the oem replacements
 
Pitch, in a chain, is the length from one link pin to the the next link pin. A link pin is measured with two side plates (inner and outer plate is link). The pitch on a sprocket is measured from the geometric center of the valley where the chain rests to the very next geometric center or tooth to tooth on the sprocket (depends on the manufacturer).
The pitch doesn't matter so long as the chain and all the sprockets the chain ride on have the same pitch.
The drive ratio of is the number of teeth on the driver sprocket to the number of teeth on the driven sprocket. This ratio affects the balance of speed to power.
 
alrite man thanks so can i get better power to the ground with a different cahain would it pretty much be the same as truck gears
 
alrite thanks man can i swithch pitchs and get more power to the ground its slow and kinda wore out but can i do anything better with a different sprocket
