2021 Ford F150 batteries dying

I blame Canada.

Yes, Ford shouldn't have shutdown it's Canadian assembly Plants, karma SUCKS

OK, F150s aren't the only ones with this problem. The big Transits have the same issue. The BCMs left factory with bugged software and don't send out all the correct shut down commands.

The Transits have an active recall to fix it, and I'm sure the F150s will be added or get their own program soon enough.

Ah....if it were a Tesla they would just send a message to the car and fix the program without you going to the dealer

Ford is starting to implement OTA updates to module software. Unfortunately for this particular issue it may or may not work due to the nature of the problem. A low battery will prevent a vehicle from accepting an OTA update.

My 2001 F250 had that problem. I just put a battery cutout switch in the glove box and that took care of dat! Simple to install and adds a bit of theft deterrent too.
