I've thought about this for awhile... I think it's fitting to do it now with what was just spotted in the Bronco.

Since the Bronco is the spring board to the next Ranger... lets try to keep what we are seeing with the 2021 Bronco in one place and discuss what is coming soon the 2023 Ranger.

I want to start with this... 35's from the factory.

This seems to me factory gearing for such a tire... robust enough driveline to handle them and suitable power to turn them properly. This is going to play well for many Ranger fans.

Lets not over look what appears to be factory rock sliders and a winch bumper.

I've said for awhile this thing is gonna blow up... and if you ask me... this is just a sample of what is coming.

I think Ford is finally serious and a few other manufactures will be in recover mode when their offerings become available.

I wonder if those are real rock sliders or those stupid retractable step things.

There is some debate on that...

They seem to lack some of the mechanics to be movable.

It’s hard to tell from the photo but those look more like retractible steps than sliders. At least they don’t look like any sliders I’ve seen before.

I hope they keep the tire profile they have on the mule. I hate it when they put low profile tires with big rims on a 4x4.

I would think this is going to be an uplevel vehicle. The other level they let out not long ago was on 31 inch tires.

That’s fine. 31” tires are ok. Just don’t put them on 22” rims.

They look kinda like dinky though...

The roof thing bugs me, I want to know if there is actually anything behind the camo shaped like that or if it is stuffed with old newspapers to throw us off.

First off, if you zoom in on the wrap:

??
Second, This has a 5 link coil spring rear suspension... I wonder if they’ll go rear coils in the new Ranger.

Good question. I think Ram is the only ones to go coil sprung so far. I’m kinda wondering if there is a reason for that beyond leaf springs being cheaper for the manufacturer.

The rear end shot has what looks like leaf spring hangers and leaf spring bushings ...
Grumpaw

Definitely lower trailing arms and a panhard bar.

My bad...

Put your glasses in grumpaw!

Cheaper and more durable at the expense of ride and articulation.

Wrangler/Gladiator has coils too.

There are rumors from the engineer dept that there’s an engineering team working on a special model with the internal code name Rock Monster. This info seems more plausible since the introduction of the Superduty Tremor.
35’s, rock sliders, possible winch bumper... could this be the Rock Monster?
