I've been checking around to see if anyone was offering heavy duty front bumpers, winch bumpers, grill guards, and bull bars.

If anyone finds any companies offering any online, please post it in this thread.

This is what I have found:

Front Bumpers:

It's important to remember that the 2019 Ranger has a turbocharged EcoBoost engine, as well as an intercooler that cools the air being blown in to the engine by the turbos. The cooler the air, the more horsepower it an create. Plus, you probably don't want a bunch of hot air being blown in to your motor. ;)

If you look for a replacement front bumper, or winch bumper, you may want to pay close attention as to whether or not it blocks the air flow to the intercooler.

Warn Industries had a bumper on the 2019 Ranger X concept truck. They don't currently list it on their website.

Here is the bumper from SEMA...

Addictive Desert Designs makes a few different heavy duty front bumpers, but they don't make any that will hold a winch.

Affordable Offroad makes winch bumpers, but they haven't started doing anything fo the 2019 Ford Ranger yet. According to them:

No plans yet but based on how many 98-11 ranger bumpers we sold we need to get on one soon.

ARB USA makes a really nice winch bumper for the Ford Ranger in other global markets.

According to ARB:

We are coming out with a full package for the Ranger. At this time we are hoping to do a reveal at Overland Expo but probably won’t have product available by then.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they offer.

Fab Fours is working on stuff for the 2019 Ford Ranger. I contacted them, but haven't heard anything back.

Iron Bull Bumpers has something in the works:

Hi James, we are planning on bumpers for the new Ranger. I will save your contact information and let you know when we have them available. Thanks

Ranch Hand builds a bumper for the Tacoma, but apparently doesn't plan to offer one for the Ford Ranger right away:

Thank you for contacting Ranch Hand. Unfortunately, Not at this time. We might be able to start looking into this after the end of this year.

Grill Guards / Brush Guards / Bull Bars:

Aries Automotive told me that:

As of right now we do not have an ETA of when the Grille Guard will be released for the 2019 Ford Ranger 4X4. Please check back with our website, as to once it is released it will be available on the website.

Go Rhino:

I like the Warn bumper. I would want something to protect the grill in case I do something stupid. Plus it would be nice to be able to mount a winch.

I spoke to Go Rhino and confirmed the upcoming release of some grill guards, winch guards, and bull bars. See the original post above for photos.

I just heard back from Addictive Desert Designs that they are releasing the Stealth fighter Winch bumper today. The cost quoted to me was $2099 and they sent pictures of it with a winch mounted.
Now I just have to figure out how to get it shipped to Germany!

I'm surprised these aren't designed with front license plate mounts..

Front license plates aren’t cool.

Front license plates aren’t cool.

But the least cool of all... is spending over one two thousand dollars on a bumper and then...
  • Getting a ticket for not having a front plate and then
  • putting your front plate on your dash...

They make license plate brackets that are designed to bolt on the front of the winch or farelead. It might be a solution if you go with that sort of bumper.

I'm not disagreeing with your thinking on the lack of provision. I was just stating the why or at least my best guess as to why.

I dont know why all states dont do away with the front plate, I think every state that borders Ohio only has rear plate. Ohio is supposed to lose front plate this june I think but the current governor is trying to overturn that, maybe the beer flu will distract that issue and I can toss mine out, Its already blocked by my grille guard and Ive never been hassled over it. Im not sure Id want a aries grille guard for the new ranger, I just put one on the escape (along with the same name brand tube steps) and was not impressed. If westin comes out with one it should be good, their past stuff has been. (assuming that company still exists that is)

I never understood it either. It must have been about being able to get you coming and going.

Not many States have front and back plates but a few, other Ohio, do.

No worries.

This one appears to have a couple holes for a front plate.. As a guy that used to design stuff for a living I guess I just figure they should design these aftermarket items for such items that are required by law.

Front Bumper 2019.JPG

Not many States have front and back plates but a few, other Ohio, do.

Actually about 31 states require front plates...

When Ohio law changes July 1, it will make 30 states required, 20 states not.
(Unless there are others i missed in my search)
So you would think that a new bumper the license plat bracket would be required since most states still require them.

My 2015 Subaru Forester didn't come with a bracket, just a $30 dollar option for one. The dealership
just screwed the plate to the bumper, using the holes where the bracket would mount.

Just installed the Aries Grill Guard ( https://www.ariesautomotive.com/part/3069) , like how it looks on the Ranger. BUT, you have to get a 40 MM tall piece between the bumper and the bottom of the upper plastic that has a 20 MM gap. They say to carefully insert between the two, cannot be done ! Had to disassemble the grill (over an hour). Plus side, doesn't affect the front license plate. Over all, happy with the install. you can find costs about $425.00 if you look around. Ride Safe ! I built my grill guard using 1" x 1.5" rectangular box and expanded metal. I hit a 160 lb buck @ 65 mph and there was no damage to my guard, the stock bumper got slightly bent though. Here's a couple pictures of it. I built it around the push bumper that was already on the truck, it also comes in handy when I have to push a tree down.
