My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
Maybe someone here has this experience....
When I am reversing with the steering wheel turned, it makes a nasty clunk sound from passenger side front.
There's also a metal on metal clunking sound over certain speeds/bumps.
Logic tells me its the control arm bushings, but they look perfect, and don't move with the pry bar test
Forum lurking result lead to CV axle, but that seems fine to me too.

I was thinking of just throwing one of those package deal swap out A-arm sets at it.

Shocks/struts are new (ish).

Any suggestions?

I’ve been dealing with a similar PS clunk for awhile now. The control arms, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, and ball joints are new(ish) and tight.

Today I’m looking to see if the outer brake pad is shifting around in the caliper arm.

So don’t cross wheel bearings or loose caliper/brake pads off your suspect list until you check them out.

Engine/thrust mount on the passenger side?
