Needs connection to a Speed sensor, to "know speed of vehicle"
Connection to Brake pedal, to turn cruise off
12v key on and ground
And an actuator(speed control servo), electric or vacuum operated, to hold throttle open and change it as needed to hold speed
Problem in 2001-2011 Rangers is that there was no speed sensor like older years, the computer was the "speed sensor", it would have an Output pin for cruise and speedometer
In 2004 and up the speedometer/cluster went full digital so no analog speed signal needed
In 2010 the computer(PCM) used a 3 connector setup C175A, C175B and C175C
C175B pin 1 should be a purple/orange strip wire, that was just for cruise control , the "speed signal" you would need, not sure wire will be there
