The 2010 Ranger brochures are up on Ford's website, looks like they dropped the long bed option for the general public. According to Edmunds, the long bed is fleet only for 2010.

Does anybody know how late in the season I can still custom order a longbed 2009 model? Is it possible for the general public to order a fleet vehicle?

They should be getting close to bringing out the '10 models, like really close if they haven't already.

Some of the news and option info has been out for awhile now. Big thing I noticed was the 4x4 only available in the ext cab. They also eliminated the FX4 series, moved a lot of those options to the Sport.

no more 4x4 super 2door........no more fx4 no more limited slip rears.........makes me wanna cry

ouch, but true 95 to 2010 and the interior and dash are still the same, 15 years i kind of expected a review like that. 17 years for the rest of the body(minus the minor upgrade in 98(12 years ago of IFS) and newer front clip. sadley its time for a new ranger ford.

Ford just hates the American Ranger I see. They want ranger owners to get ( trade in their rangers ) F-150's and Raptors.

Looking at the Ford webiste, I have found that:

If you want a V6, you have to get a super cab, either 2-dr or 4-dr
If you want 4x4, you have to get the 4-dr super cab

Sport- V6 only, super cab only (2 door or 4 door)
XLT- available in pretty much all engines and cabs, but they're limited to the stipulations listed above.
XL- 4 cyl only, 2wd only, reg cab or 2-dr super cab

Web site said I could get a 4 door and the dealership said no, i couldn't.

Yeah, I noticed a lot more standard equipment on the XLT compared with '09, mudguards are now std., foglights, tilt/cruise, power equipment pkg. too. It looks like the base sticker went up a little over $1K for a XLT 2WD supercab.

I wonder if you are still going to be able to delete the rear jump seats? I don't have kids and I liked the storage on my '05.

I use the jump seats for my kid so they are handy.

If Ford did away with the FX4, does that mean no more two-tone paint job. I really liked that red/silver combo. Made my jaw drop when I first saw it. I thought it looked down right sexy.

why they dont kill it right away, fast and painless
it would be better than removing versions and options,
if u want it take it as we say, if not we dont give a dang, we're killing it anyways:annoyed:
