Paint-will paint along with the truck frame at a later date.
Used a lincoln 140c welder {im not an expert}and a clarke 10 gallon blaster in my home garage.
Thanks for the writeup! It's annoying that LMC, Dorman, etc. don't make crossmember kits for Rangers... only F-Series. I can't believe the demand for Rangers would be too low to be profitable for them.
Did you POR-15 and then fluid film over that once the POR was cured? Or just fluid film inside the crossmembers where you couldn't apply POR?
Used fluid film inside the crossmembers.Yes if they were available i wouldve bought them.

Our body shop used to buy Ranger crossmembers, I'll try to find out where they got them. Obviously won't do you any good but it might save others some work.
Hello, I was thinking of just using galvanized square tubing for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th crossmembers and attach them to the frame since Dorman doesn't seem to offer these replacement crossmembers. Any thoughts on that approach?
