Hi All,
I have a 2009 Ranger 4 cylinder that rides very rough around town. The streets around my house are full of speed bumps and the suspension just doesn't compress over the bumps. My previous 97 Ranger did not have this problem. The 2009 seems to be higher in the front, also. Hardly moves when I jump up and down on the front bumber.
There is a trailer hitch on the truck, but no mention on the build sheet of a "trailer towing" package. It has the 4 hole inline trailer power wiring. I think the hitch is standard equipment now so that really doesn't mean anything.
What aftermarket shocks (brand, model) would give a smooth ride? No, I do not go off road and am using it for transportation. Don't haul anything heavier that a motorcylce now and then. I do a lot of around town low speed driving and it is just too stiff.
Thanks,
Karguyz
