New to the forum. I am an older automotive guy with lots of experience in automotive parts, machine shop and early years of obd 1 and 2. Bought a 08 Ford Ranger about 3 years ago because the durability and value was as good as a Toyota but half the price. Rangers will be a desirable classic to own in the coming years in my opinion as they are beginning to hold value as they age. My history also includes the restoration of a 1929 Ford Model A
pick up truck (early predesessor to the Ranger as I happen to like smaller trucks). I just acquired some factory bed rails from an 05 ranger. If anyone needs info on how to salvage the lower brackets with seized or broken bolts let me know.

They are coming into their own a bit on the used market... I've said for years that when you find the right one... you're going to have to pay up a bit for it. At least you have some better pickings down in your neck of the woods... most of the older trucks here are pretty much rusted away.
