2007 Ranger lowering?

i just dusted the snow off the truck and took a look underneath, still have no idea what im looking for torsion bars, the only thing that looks anything like bars touching either end of suspension is the steering lol

Ok, we'll make this easier.

Look behind the front wheels (inboard of them) and tell us if there are coil springs up there.

*Edit: Just found this on google. It's an isuzu something-or-other, but it's a t-bar setup like what your truck will have if it has them

The t-bar is that big black on just right of the d-sahft.

I don't know much about stereo systems, but I do know they have lots of stuff for great prices.

Look at the truck below, yes it's lifted and yes it's a 4wd, but notice the bars going towards the front? those are torsion bars your truck should have them not hanging down as low but you should see them. Now, the only way to lower your truck is to un crank your torsion bars, or doing coilovers. For the rear pull the factory blocks. And no a 4/5 Kit will NOT work because you don't have Coils. Anymore questions?

Nice truck dude.

I wish it was mine.

Casper, 2wds do not have rear blocks, so lowering is not that easy, unfortunately.

As far as a good amp goes, I love Rockford Fosgate. I've used and abused a couple of their amps and love them to death. One got fried (not exactly my fault, for some reason a shop that worked on my truck messed with the ground). Sent it back to RF, they fixed it and shipped it back with a new spec sheet. And they are typically under-rated, I had a 200w RMS that was spec'd around 250w or so RMS and an 800w RMS that spec'd at 915w RMS. The big one is a two channel, I bridged it down and put a pair of RF 12" 4ohm subs in parallel... IIRC that puts it like 1 ohm to each sub and should be very abusive to the amp... but it didn't bother it a bit.

My small amp was jammed under a seat for the longest time, never had a problem with it overheating.

For subs, I'd say Alpine, RF, or Kicker Solo Baric (the square ones). Not sure if there's anything else real good out there, I've been out of the scene for a min.

Edge's and Sports have rear blocks, coil sprung 2wd's dont

i do have the torsion bars thanks for the pic casper

and how do i crank these/what would i need to buy to lower the front end, my buddy has the back end all figured out for me

thanks again for the help

For Speakers I'm running some Pioneer Premier TS DP820U ... or something like that... Well they are the premier 6x8 speakers and even without the amp they can get earsplitting loud without distorting. I got an Alpine MFP 300 4 channel amp I am going to hook up to them this summer. and then I got a cheap sub with a really cheap amp that sounds pretty good and hasn't let me down... Its a memphis (really good sub) that I got at a garage sale for 10 bucks and a Dual Amp at like 586w 2 channel that is almost invincible.... And I do not joke, I had it in my 84 under the seat not bolted down or anything and I used to race around and jump and stuff and you could hear the amp slamming around.... Still works 4 years later.
