2007 Ranger lowering?

Im not so sure but i think 2wd have coil springs? Take a look under it.

Oh and I don't remember if its the sport or if only the SXT model had that insanely low front bumper.

A torsen bar is a long bar with hex ends that fit in keys on one end and the A arm on the other end. they hold up your suspension by using Torque or rotational force or resistance I guess and when you hit an bump and your suspension goes down the bar twists and has tension that makes it spring back into place. If you tighten the bolts on the cross member it twists the bar the other way and causes force the opposite way and lifts the truck.

Shut up, will you?

I don't like lowered trucks either, but it's his truck, so until you can come up with a good, technical reason about why it shouldn't be lowered (will break parts, will become unsafe, etc), one that doesn't involve your ignorant, over stated opinion, just leave him alone and stay out of it.

It's his truck, as long as it's technically possible without an AllanD level of knowledge and fab ability, let him to what he wants and keep your ignorant ass out of it.

Why litter his thread with your preaching? Go back to church.

i have a pile of cash sitting in my bank since my rents pay for everything besides my parking pass at school and at home so no point in keeping the money there wen itll be blown on bars and booze n e ways lol

Well I would still save up... get a system in that thing or something. Well thats partially cause I don't see the point of lowering a truck, and I am not a drinker at all and yeah... you should go prerunner cause they kick ass.

Hmm how come they did that? Just for ride height?

Yeah i guess for people that wanted gas mileage but not be as low as a car or somthing... I honestly don't know... I have no clue why car makers do what they do most of the time... But Its actually a cool idea that one...

:attention_whore:

I seriously don't understand how you've managed NOT to be banned. You have mouthed off quite a few times then gone back and changed your posts. And it sounds like more than one or two people have gotten tired of your idiotic ranting, so go back under your bridge, troll.

For the OP:

All of the newer Rangers are difficult to lift or lower with the possible exception of the coil sprung 2wd Rangers. But you'll have to look the front end to see if you have coils or not. I heard a while ago that the only company making lift and lowering kits for the newer coil sprung 2wd Rangers stopped producing them, but I have not looked into it.

It may be possible to lower the front end slightly if you have a torsion bar setup, but you probably would not get much out of it and it would have to be aligned. As far as the rear goes for lowering, it's much easier as that part has not changed. An axle flip as Adam suggested would probably get you more in the neighborhood of 4-5" of drop, and would be easily done with the use of an Explorer rear axle and rear springs as the perches and such would already be on the correct side. But I'm not sure what to suggest to get the front to match. Older Rangers are considerably easier to lift or lower, which is part of the reason why my Ranger stayed stock height with the exception of beefing up the rear leafs and slightly larger tires. I had considered lifting and lowering it at different times, but it was somewhat cost prohibitive, so I spent the money on other toys.:icon_rofl::icon_twisted:

thanks alot for the help

if you really want low rider, just sell it and buy like a 93-97 2wd ranger and lower that one

Get an MTX Jackhammer? then your whole truck will move with it. :D jk

Its a 07 of course it has torsion bars
Really dude? I see you edited your post so I have no idea what you really said but i'm sure it was just as idiotic as the rest of the shit i've seen you post. Are you saying that all 07 Ranger's have torsion bars, or did you just learn that Sport's and Edge's have torsion bars? (It's a rhetorical question)

On a side note, what the hell do you drive anyway? Seem's as though you come on here trolling. I'm with lil_blue, how the hell have you managed not to get banned yet?

:dunno:
