Hey everyone,

Pretty new here. Recently got my Second 2007 Ford Ranger (Wrecked my first one) and I'm starting a build thread to keep me motivated with all the mods I wanna do to this truck!

Here is a picture of the day I bought her.

My first "Mod" was to put the tires from my last truck on there. A set of 265/75/R16 Toyo Open Country II's. Then last week I bought a nice used Snug Top for $300 and got it painted for $400. Don't plan on having it on all the time but it's great to have for camping.

Here is a pic with the tires and canopy on there.

This truck is my daily driver. I use it for some construction on the side as well as for camping, hunting, and trail driving. The first real mods I plan to do are coilover conversion, and swap in an '05 XLT Grille.

Hope to be back with more updates soon!

Truck looks really clean! Coil overs would be amazing, better ride and the little lift really look good with that size tire

Finally got around to installing some back up lights in my rear bumper. Pretty happy with them!

I installed the switch in my floor console

Sorry for the crappy pictures, but it's midnight and I just finished lol. I'll do a little write up about it tomorrow.

Oh I also did a mock up of a bumper I plan on building. Thoughts?

Alright, here's a little write up on how I installed some auxiliary reverse lights in my rear bumper.

I ended up buying a pair of nilight flush mound flood lights of amazon. For $30 I highly recommend them! I started by taking out my center floor console and cutting a 1" × .5" hole and adding my switch. I debated where to put a switch, but I'm really happy with this placement. You can't hardly see the switch but it is still easy to reach and looks really clean IMO. I got a switch with a red edge when on so you can tell it's on during the day.

After that I ran the wiring. I used 12 gauge red wire for the power and 12 gauge black wire for ground. I ran my power through an existing rubber grommet in the fire wall. After that I ran the power wire up by the fuse box and just hard wired it to the battery with an inline fuse.

From there I ran my next wire through some plastic conduit to protect it and tucked it in the frame rail zip tied to follow my factory trailer light harness all the way down. Didn't take any pics of that.

Then I made a template, masked off a spot on my bumper and used a grinder to make my holes.

After that I wired up the lights and bolted them in!

Really happy with the outcome on this project! Lights are crazy bright and help alot when backing up at night. Also great for discouraging tailgaters! [emoji2]

I lined the lights up between a set of grooves on the rear bumper, and I think it looks good, but if I could change one thing it would be to move the light further apart to get a wider field of view from my side mirrors. I can still see great, especially combined with my LED reverse lights, so I can't complain!

Got a couple things done to my truck lately. In January I got a Detroit TruTrac installed, and I'm really happy with it. Locks up really well but stays quiet and smooth. Makes playing in the snow much more fun!

My Father-in-law bought me a light bar the other day and I got it installed last night. I ended up buying a Westin light bar as well. I'm pretty happy with the outcome! I was worried it would look cheesy but I think it looks pretty good for a bolt on mod.

The light bar I got was a Nilight 25" off amazon and it fit perfect. The thing is crazy bright and projects really far. Was enough to completely drown out my high beams.

When I was looking around for this setup I couldn't find any pictures of it so here it is Ford Ranger Westin light bar with a 25" LED light bar if anyone is interested in the setup.
