2006 ranger V8 swap

Good day to whoever can help. I seen a thread for a V8 swap. I plan on using a 1998 explorer 302 to put into my 2006 ranger but my big question besides the article is if the connection module from the computer to the rest of the truck ie fuze box etc is the same wiring in the plug in as a V6? Any help would be appreciated!
