2006 Ranger FX4 Level II

no the air shocks do it all you + or - nitrogen pressure to get the ride height you are looking for

Do you know much about suspension...?
I'm not running air shocks on my truck that will see daily driving and the trail. Not happening.

Anyways

Got the cover off to inspect the gears. They look great.

Couldn't find my 12 point sockets so I couldn't take the hubs off. Will have to buy more sockets.

Guess I see your point but they are amazing off-road haha

Go coil overs! Then I'll steal your ideas lol

Lol probably will. FOA shocks aren't crazy expensive so I'll probably go that route.

What the hell kind of store that carries all kinds of tools, doesn't have 12 point sockets.... What the hell? Had to settle for a 12 point closed end wrench. Will work fine but still...

Anyways. Got that so hub will be able to come off now. Then I can pull out the shafts, gears and carrier, then clean it the **** up! Have it soaking in foaming engine cleaner right now. Hoping that loosens up the larger chunks of grime. And loosens the hubs. Bed time now though.

Ok technically not progress on the build, but its progress to making things easier lol.

Up till now I've been working on the axles and stuff on the ground. And when it rains... Well I'm working in mud.

Got tired of being on the ground and being muddy. So today I cleaned out our shed, and built a work bench for myself.

Area cleared. (My dad found some signage letters lol, put my name on it)

Frame up. Total overkill lol. 4x4 posts for legs, and 2x10's for the frame.

And scrap counter top on the main section. Ready to roll!

The smaller section off to the side will have a wood top, as I plan on adding a vice on there, and countertop would be no good for that.

Shoot yeah that's a sweet bench!

Way way way overkill lol. Super solid. Works great though. Was tearing down the low pinion axle today. Holy cow so much easier.
