2006 Ranger FX4 Level II

so today i took the lights off the front, and slapped on the back behind the cab facing backwards.

will provide light for loading/unloading trailers in the dark, especially in the winter with my snowmobile.

will also be good for those assholes who dont turn their high beams off when they come up behind ya.

Alright, so every time I clean my truck, this little bit of ugly bugs me.

There was some kind of wavy duty tape that was stuck over it, and it started wearing through and showing the rust beneath it. So I peeled it off. Sanded the rusty spots. And painted it.

Those bumps at the bottom are where rust had eaten away. Nothing I can do about it. But, looks a hell of a lot better now.

nice truck dude. Keep the pictures coming.

Whats next for it?

Nothing major. Winters coming so all my spare money will be going into sledding. Few little things I plan on though is brighter bulbs in the rear facing lights. It just has 35w halogens. Not very bright. Will be swapping in some 100w halogens.

That's probably all ill be doing till next year. Future plans include a tiregate with a full size spare, and possibly tube bumpers.

Sounds like a plan to me.
Have fun in the snow

Oh I will. If it snows haha.

Got a brand new sled last year and couldn't use it. Only put 40 miles on her.

How do you find those lights for backing up in the dark? I was trying to think of some ideas to mount some lights and I kinda like this idea. I don't want something on my bumper I don't think it would look good.

I don't use them for backing up, plus, the position they are mounted in would be useless as backup lights.

small update, bought some hood light mounts from a member on another forum, those are all painted up ready to go on. just waiting for my visionx 4500 HID spot lights in the mail to get those installed. will also be doing a pair of rigid D2 led lights before winter.

Also bedlined my lower rockers. they were pretty beat up from all the gravel roads i travel. so i wanted to address the issues before winter, and rust.

Little bit of it ran cause i put it on a tad thick. but i dont mind. not bad for doing it in the dark to lol.

also before winter i will be doing my body lift, and putting on a set of 33" Hankook Dynapro MT's that will be siped for better winter traction.
as well as new shocks up front since i busted the driver side shock

installed hood light tabs.

have my lights just have to wire everything. need some washers to raise the light as the bolt is about 1/4 to long and touches the trucks paint. so a trip to the hardware store on monday and im good to go.

Oh, that's what they mean by "Ranger lean".

oh yeah, i painted all theta crap behind the grill black. the hail damage i got a while ago means my hood needs to be painted after they fix it, so i am getting them to do the bulge black, like i had plastidipped a while ago. also getting a black grille.
