My motor is starting to miss occasionally, fuel economy has dropped a bit,
Mileage is 101000. Still runs fine and No check engine lights.
I'd like to go ahead and change the yellow injectors. Looking for
any advice & tips on the process. like how to disconnect the fuel line
at the rail, I am guessing there are 2 bolts that hold the rail down, and assume this is what holds the injectors in place. Can the job be done without
removing the Black plastic intake manifold?

I do appreciate any help guys
thanks
David

I guess the very first thing would be to ask yourself why you suspect the injectors? Why not change the plugs & wires first?

I changed Plugs & wires in the last year, Thats why I am suspecting the Injectors
could be the problem. Slight occasional miss/rough idle. Mileage has dropped about
2 mpg
thanks
Dave

Try injector cleaner first. Seafoam is ok I have the best luck with 44k although it is hard to find. I run a shop and almost never replace an injector. Especially at 101k. Did u use factory plugs and wires? Bosch, champion, etc doesn't work in these trucks like motorcraft and autolite do.
