Hello,

No it would not. You need to get that bulb type that is specif with your vehicle. We also do not sell ford headlight housings. We only specialize with BMW parts.

Subject: HID Upgrade for 2005 Ford Ranger
To whom it may concern:

I have a 2005 Ford Ranger and would like to do a projector/HID upgrade for my truck. I can find a 9007 HID kit with no problems. It just finding the headlight assembly to go with them. Will a 9007 HID bulb fit in a H1 assembly?

Thanks,
Justin D Carlton

Not a problem. You just need to find out exactly how the H1 harness connector works. Looks like it's a single spade terminal and it grounds through the base. Order your headlamps and adapt your wiring to fit them. Once you've done that, get the HID kit (two if you're doing both high and low beam) and it will plug directly into the adapted wiring. If nothing else, you can get the connectors on eBay. With a little digging, you can probably find them somewhere else much cheaper.

So after talking to several shops, I opted to go ahead and buy the kit. I know many of you will disagree with this. I am keeping my stock bulbs just in case I do have to switch back. I should be installing them tonight or sometime this weekend.

Well I got the kit installed last night. Your right Jon581 I will NEVER go back. It is only a 6k temp setup but I love it. Never dealt with Ranger headlights before, it was nice and simple. Gotta love Ford for that one. I will post up pics later.

I got a slim ballast kit shipped to my door for $65 :icon_surprised: plus they sent me a site link so I can order again for cheaper than that. :yahoo: Which is a good thing b/c my brothers bday is next month and I need another slim kit for my CBR.

eBay is my friend. DDMtuning specializes in BMW only.

they are but thats where i bought my kit from it is the 35w hi/low with the slim balasts for $100 shipped.

I touched up the pics with Lightroom but did not change the actual picture. Either way I love them. :yahoo:
