2004 Ranger Edge Build Up

Question
Should i get higher spindles? or will my stock ones work fine?

If you are looking for stock length aftermarket tubular upper control arms for an Edge or 4X4 style Ranger, check with Alon at modbargins. He carries some from BTF that looked pretty good. A couple of months back he was looking to get a group buy together. I think the price was around $400.00.

ok, well I am in phoenix so would you be able to ship them? I will pay the cost of that too. If you can do it for about 650 total, let me know.

So how do you have 3 inches of lift up front if you are running the stock spindle?

i purchased new torsion keys and was able to crank them up 3 inches giving the front 3 inches of lift. i dont know whether to purchase new spindles for an easier uca or just to run stock spindles with a more complex uca. ill post pictures

Oh, ok thanks. How do these work out for you? How hard do you frive your truck?...if you dont mind me asking.

hmm well im not out at the desert trying to get as high or as far as i can but mostly some dirt roads out here with a few jumps along it or some out of the way roads. I jump well off the ground id say maybe 5 feet and nothings gone wrong with it just the stock fiberglass flares flew off haha and my tires rub on the stock fenders on the rebound. Thats about it though

Just Fyi most aftermarket spindles are not rated for more then 33"s

Looks like someone needs an alignment! Don't worry, mine needs one too... and balljoints... and a tie rod end... Dope truck btw

i dont need an alignment just need to put longer uca on! :icon_surprised: haha im fabricating a pair right now because the ones i made before where also to short :annoyed: but i should have some pics of my finished bed cage and new uca's posted in the next week almost done with the trial and error fabricating! haha

i just finished my bedcage and im wondering what valving to get on my shocks for the rear for a nice on and off road ride i have two choices 255/70 or 270/56 which one in your opinions would be best?

whats the angle on the shock? we need pics man!

so from those valviing numbers, it looks as if your lookin at Bilsteins? Im not sure which number is compression or rebound on those so it would make it a bit harder to say which is best

yea im going with bilsteins first and thats what i cant figure out. idk which would be a "softer" ride any advice let me know. Just need to have the UPC installed up front and 4 corners of glass and calling it done for awhile
