Hi There.
I'm looking to purchase a 2004 FX4 with 67,000 miles. This ranger is really clean and runs great. However... I'm not sure and its very subtle, but the tranny seems to have a little play and it seems to slip a little whenever moving forward from a stop. The used car dealer didn't notice it and I'm going to take it to the Ford dealer to be sure.

Does this seem normal?

I am trading in my 2000 4x4 Supercab and there is NO such play.
thanks!!!

Way too little information to make a reasonable answer.. Take it to a mechanic and get a professional opinion or two or three opinions..

Thanks Big Jim

I just don't want this to be the beginning of something bad.
I'll take it to the dealer and get an opinion (or 2 or 3 or ...).
