So I blew my frontend apart uppers lowers cv's shocks wheel bearings everything was a mess. I'm not one to pay people to work on my stuff and didn't even think about how out of whack it all is. I really need numbers anything close enough for who its for on caster camber I assume close to zero camber I have no clue on caster but my book says take to dealer and no way I'm using A.I information.

Any help would be great I don't want to spend what the local guys want to align it.

Regards Aaron

I don't think caster is adjustable other than the passenger side if you have a two piece upper arm... camber is just the eccentrics on the upper arm I think (never monkeyed with that), as far as toe just a hair of toe in is good...

I have cam bolts on both one piece uppers I've spent most of the long weekend searching for numbers like 3* castor or something I think on my wheeler Cherokee I have it at 5* and it drives nice but solid axle vs ifs is a fairly new thing to me. I got the wife's Suburban dialed in mostly last year but it's a little dirty probably not enough castor but who knows.

Thanks anyhow I do appreciate it.

Regards Aaron.

Do you have the torsion bars cranked up?

Not much sits 35 and 1/4" ground to bottom of flare just enough to not scrub 265's. We shot from the hip today and from where we took measurements we have 6.75* caster and +.75* camber 1/16th toe. It drives reasonably well not very darty and if it wear tires over the clutch break in period I'll have it aligned.

Thanks all.

Regards Aaron.

That was interesting.

Clear vision is steer-ahead/centering your steering wheel, and Ford calls it that because you look through the top of the wheel to see your gauges, so if it's off you can't see them "clearly".

I was curious why that would have a spec outside of "actually straight", and apparently it's because on some vehicles you adjust the steering wheel by taking it off and rotating it, but because of the size of the splines, it's possible the straightest you can get it is within 5° or so.

And that's the rest of the story...
