anyone have a manual they could take a look at or know what it is. I guess I could check a few of my own to get some what of an idea. any help would be great. thank you
Uhhh… Like a tire valve stem? Kind of an odd question. I personally use the 2" valve stem because they are easier to fill. The smaller ones work too. Can you explain more on what you are needing to know?
I'm just curious why is this information important, I mean cant you just buy new valves? What are you trying to do? If you look up replacement valves for a 3.0 is it not correct?
im rebuilding my heads, when you grind the seats & dress the valves, the installed height will change,i checked the height when I pulled them apart to get some kind of an idea what they should be,but the I & E valves heights were all over the place. with a non adjustable rocker arm & hyd lifter you still need to some what close. I gave up on rebuilding these heads now since the E seats were so bad I would have to pay a arm & leg for new seats.i just happened to look at this to see if anyone responded,so theres alittle more explaination.
In the ford service manual there has to be a section showing you how to install rocker arms & how to check for clearance in the rocker arm & lifter,in other words if the height is to tall any number of things can happen,...…………….
