No I didnt have the trans bolted up to the block for the mock up but I could tell just by looking at the tunnel clearance that i wont have a problem. plus I still had the engine stand bracket still bolted up to it.
I have 2 E40D's sitting around one is 2wd and the other is 4x4. I'm kinda stuck on that decision, my friend helpin with the build says to put the 4x4 in so I can do 2 wheel low digs but I wanna put the 2wd trans in simply because I don't think I want to cut holes in the floor and I'm planning on Building a Long Travel kit after the swap is done,
Here's the headers. Got a kit from Tubular Automotive. Had to go outside the frame because of starter clearance. I'll post some pics of them in the truck. Exhaust is 3 inch tube, Flowmaster Big Block 70 series muffs under the cab and exit in front of the rear wheels. Very simple, but very loud with exit in front of wheels and no crossover.
Some nice looking work I must say! Good pictures showing how the headers had to be placed to miss everything. Bet a lot of people would like to have a set of them headers.

So its been a while since i've been on and i've made a lot of progress since the last time i posted. got a bunch of new pics, and the truck is almost done. I'll try to find time tomorrow to post more pics of the build and all my new goodys n gadgets!
Post em up! That truck is going to be so sweet. When I look at the pictures, I probably get to experience 1/10 of your accomplishment and none of your frustration.
ok. so, here are a few pics of progress so far......
Its not a finished product yet so don't judge me too drastically.
I still need to make a bracket for the alt., install my new distributor and coil, and fuel pressure regulator.i've made quite a few changes to the design as well. such as you can tell i decided to go with a carb. set up instead of EFI.
Still dont have the tranny in yet because i'm waiting on my torque convertor to get built. (should have it monday) I'm going with a C4 3 speed auto instead of the big heavy unreliable E4Od lol.
Interior and wiring are complete for the most part, just need to install my tach.and fuel guage and wire up the multifunction switch.
Still need to loom the wiring harness which I purchased from EZwiringproducts.com. Its a 20 circuit harness thats practically the exact same as a painless kit only 1/3 the cost. I will be doing a lot more work on the truck in the near future (FINALLY) due to the bosses changing our hours of operation @ work. Now I have more weekend free time to roll my baby into the shop and work on it. So more pics ot the uild and fab work will be on the way shortly!!!!!!
