2002 subaru broken timing belt

I am looking at this car. The owner wants 2k. it is an interference engine. Please give me any input you can about the car, cost for parts and labor, etc, thanks.
It is a 2002 Subaru legacy Wagon AWD 133k. I believe it has this engine 2.5L H4 SOHC 16V FI

chances are, that thing is TOAST and not worth repairing since as you said its an interference type design.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking you could just pull the head off and replace the head and a new belt. Maybe get the cam inspected.

I wouldn't mess around with it. The engine is toast and they don't even have a title yet.

Find a different car.
