2002 ranger won't crank

the celenoid isn't getting any power. i switched cabs from 02 to 99 but used all the 02 stuff wiring harness that goes with the motor everything on the stering column is plugged up. why do yall think it won't crank

are you using the key from the swapped body? If so its probably the PATS system. The keys have little transmitters that won't allow the vehicle to crank or start if the Keys don't match up.

Take it to the deal and have them reset the system for use with the new key.

yeah what ever PCM you used you have to have the key that went with it or get it reset.

yeah we took it from the other cab

Not sure which one is the "other cab" now. Try the key from the same cab that the computer came from.

Is the steering column in the truck from the same cab as the PCM? If not then you may have a PATS system that is missing it's antenna.

everything is from the 2002 but the body. the fuel pump isn't coming on either and we tried turning over our self and it won't start that way either

hmm, and you are sure there are no loose connections, broken wires, unplugged connectors. I mean this is kind of a tricky one since you just had literally everything apart.

Sometimes when a PCM has been without power for an extended period they keys need to be reprogrammed. How long was the computer disconnected from a battery?

as far as we know we plugged everything back up to each other. would i be wires in the dash keeping it from cranking and keep he fuel pump from working
