Hey yall,

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge. I was running errands this morning. I left my truck off for about 15 minutes or so to go into a store. When I went to turn my truck on to go home, it turned on for a few seconds, started shaking, and then turned off. I tried several times to turn it on, but it kept doing the same thing (turned on, started shaking, then turned off). After about 10-15 minutes, it turned on just fine (no shaking or anything else). Does anyone know what's going on with it? This same thing happened a few months ago. Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks!

Was this soon after a fill up? Sometimes you can get trash in the gas filter and it will clean out after a bit. When was the last time you did a fuel filter change? Did you notice any codes on the dash?

I filled up about a couple days ago. I never had anything weird happen after I fill up. The last time my truck did that (not today), the "check engine" light came on. I didn't look to see if that light came on today. I just turned off the ignition after the truck started shaking and turned off.

I am going to be taking my truck up to Ford in a couple of days to get my brakes and oil changed. Hopefully they will have an answer to why this is happening.

Both times that my truck acted like that was when I parked it on an incline/hill. Maybe the way my truck is parked is messing with it somehow?

Thanks for your help!!!
