I have owned this truck about a year and 6 months ago the brakes started to hang up when I started up it seemed like the front drivers side all the time. So I have replaced both front hubs and rotors and pads and calipers. No change. Started on the rear and did the whole job on the brakes as well. No change front brake is grabbing on the driver side and the ABS light is on now not sure what to look at next. I did check this for codes and we see nothing the ABS sensors are new in the hubs and on the rear.

Any one have a suggestion on what to look at getting concerned I am going to burn out the clutch. Also it runs perfectly, brakes and all, once I get it to release will not do it again till I park and shut it off for a time.

Brake proportioning valve ?? Is it functioning properly-

It may be a bad LF brake hose. Though they normally last longer than 15 yrs.

Never thought to check the hose since I bled the two front lines with the new Calipers Seem to flow OK. The proportioning valve that is an idea do you know how you would check it to see if it is functioning properly and would that trigger the ABS light if it were bad?

Thanks for the ideas more to look at.

As far as I can tell the brake proportioning valve is functioning I bled the brakes in the rear and got good flow as I also said the same on the front. I did bled them again with my son's help to make sure I got a good flow pushed through a lot of fluid make sure no junk was left in the lines. The damn front drivers side still locks up when I let it sit almost have to pop the clutch to get the wheel to turn. Then I can drive it all day stop and go not a problem.also ABS light is still on but not the check engine light I did take it to my local Mechanic who use to work at the Ford dealership and he got Zero Codes on the car and brake system.

Would love some help on this one hate to have to dump the truck over this but I am afraid it is dangerous.

Thanks

There is no rear proportioning valve; that is a function of the 4WABS Module.

I'd also suspect that caliper's brake hose. They can fail internally and act like a checkvalve, holding pressure in the caliper. Flow to caliper would be good, but release flow would not.

An easy way to verify that is to wait until it is locked up.
Then crack the bleeder open. If that releases the brake caliper, suspect the hose.
