4x4 dashboard switch not working consistently. Light will not always come on so I cannot on demand enable 4 wheel drive. Winter is coming and I will need 4x4. Trouble started just after battery went bad over a year ago and frequency of light and active 4x4 working is getting worse. If it is the control module, where is this located in 2001 Ranger so I can pull it and get part number for possible replacement? Light does not come on when starting vehicle. Would prefer to do this myself with rebuilt part if possible.
Suggestions and location of module appreciated.
