2001 Ford Ranger Edge 4x4 v8 swap

Hi, I have a 2001 ford ranger edge 4x4 and i'm doing a v8 swap from a 1998 ford explorer awd 5.0 donor vehicle, and what I have read here it said in order to use the range 2 speed transfer case I need an adapter kit, So I got one from Advanced Adapters , 9" kit 50-8404 with 2 shafts, the problem that having , I'm not sure how to remove the tail shaft out of the rear of transmission to install the new shaft, anyone have any idea? I would greatly appreciate any help.

In a nutshell, gut the transmission to an empty case -- the output shaft is the last part out, and the first part back in.

Okay thank you....are there a step by step how to do this online?....I've never done one before but I'm willing to try.
