Hey guys,
I've got a 2001 Chevy Malibu, 6 cylinder, It has been running great until recently.
It seems to idle fine when in Park and Neutral, when you put it in drive, it idles fine for a minute then acts like it's going to die for about 2 seconds, drops down to 5-600 rpm, and makes the sound like if you are driving a stick and start off with too little gas, ya know, tuckatuckatucka, then catches itself and idles back up to 1100 or so. It does this over and over then it seems to get worse and worse ans eventually it has a hard time accelerating. I let it cool down for about an hour, and the problem went away, for about 10 min of driving then came back. My guess is either a sensor, MAP or MAF, O2, Idle air control, I dunno. Its newer and a chev!
Im just sittin at work, so looking for ideas, I'm gonna get the codes pulled, but the CEL never came on.
